Roots Village at CDF Haley Farm

In collaboration with the CDF communications department, I edited the video below into 5 versions tailored to different audiences, encouraging non-donors and current donors to contribute to the Roots Village initiative. My goal was to be intentional in my selection of footage, showcasing the current use of the space and emphasizing how the new space will continue to serve the same purpose, but on an expanded scale. While the interview portions of the video were filmed by another videographer from a different state, I was responsible for editing the entire video, incorporating archival footage, drone footage, and b-roll that I filmed, and preparing the final cuts for social media, email marketing, and donor events.

CDF Alumni and Staff

What began as a multi-day assignment to film and photograph the 2024 Alumni Homecoming event evolved into a broader storytelling project. After capturing interviews and candid moments with alumni and staff, I repurposed the footage into multiple deliverables—social media content, testimonial pieces, and a highlight video used during donor events and galas—extending the impact of the event and building stronger connections between the organization and its community.

The photos in this gallery are branded images I’ve taken for the Children’s Defense Fund (CDF). These photos have been strategically used across various platforms, including the CDF website, email marketing campaigns, event signage, and print materials. My work has helped to visually reinforce CDF’s mission and message, providing high-quality, impactful images that resonate with their audience and support their advocacy efforts.
